      @Pixie, parasitism is a symbiotic (living together) relationship between a strict or facultative parasite (protozoa and helminths) and another organism (host e.g man or dog). The relationship is such that the parasite receives shelter and nourishment, and grows within the host, but contributes nothing to the host and may cause disease.
