      Hi Hello

      When light hits water the longer wavelength elements of the light spectrum are absorbed leaving the blue light to be scattered and reflected, hence why it appears blue.

      It’s to do with the how objects absorb and reflect light (water is also counted as a kind of objects, in a physic world). Light actually composes of many colours. When it hit an object, some of these colours are absorbed, while some are reflected. The water absorb some colours and reflected out the blue light…. hence we see the water blue.
